About

Synapse has completed its mission. A new series will start in January 2013.

Synapse was a reading series that ran for three semesters at Concordia University, in Montreal. The focus was to feature established, emerging and student voices across disciplines. Genre or stage of development wasn’t the concern: engaging, inspiring displays of creative energy are. Synapse invited submissions from visual artists and writers of all genres to take part in readings.

Synapse was created and curated by Sina Queyras. Student readings were co-curated Steph Colbourn & Lizy Mostowski in the first year. Deanna Fong, Steph Colbourn & Lizy Mostowski in the second year.

The site will be maintained as part of an ongoing reading and archiving process at the university.
